A photo estimate written before teardown will be wrong

Specialty units hide damage behind substrate. A two foot dent in a laminated sidewall can be nine feet of separated panel once the skin comes off, and a roof stain three feet from the vent is rarely leaking where the stain sits. Intake and walk around

Teardown and blueprint
Nothing on a laminated body tells the truth from outside. Trim comes off, fasteners come out, and interior panels get pulled until the boundary of the damage is visible rather than assumed. This is where a two panel job becomes a six panel job or, occasionally, where a frightening looking impact turns out to have stopped at the skin. The blueprint that comes out of teardown is the document the rest of the repair is planned against.

Parts, authorization and deposit
Once the blueprint is complete the parts list is real and can be ordered. Coach panels, molded caps, slide mechanisms and discontinued components drive the calendar far more than shop capacity does, so lead times get quoted honestly and the schedule is built backward from the longest lead item. Authorization happens here. A 50 percent deposit is due on any job over $2,000, with an additional 25 percent when parts arrive on jobs over $10,000.

Structure, laminate and fabrication
Structural work runs before anything cosmetic. Chassis and unibody damage gets measured and pulled on a rack, sidewall cage members get sectioned and welded at load appropriate points, and delaminated laminate is either injected and clamped or cut back to sound material and rebuilt. Fabrication happens in house, so a bracket, a bumper mount or a compartment frame that no longer exists as a part gets made rather than sourced. Fit is proven with the panel dry hung before adhesive is mixed.

Refinish and systems reassembly
Refinish and systems work run in parallel once the body is sound. Color is read with a spectrophotometer and proven on a sprayout card under shop light and daylight before a gun points at the vehicle, because a coach carries several colors and a decade of uneven fade. Meanwhile the systems bench brings twelve volt and one hundred twenty volt circuits, plumbing runs, appliances and slide mechanisms back to function and tests each one under load.

Water test, road test and delivery lane
A repair is not finished because it looks finished. Anything involving a roof, a window, a seam or a slide gets a sustained water test with the interior open and a light behind the suspect area. Drivable units get a road test that includes freeway speed, because a seal that holds in the wash bay can talk at 65 miles per hour. The delivery lane is the last checkpoint, and the owner walks it with the delivery department before paperwork closes.

What actually differs

The rate sheet is published before you ask

Body and paint labor bills at $210 per hour, mechanical and electrical at $260, diagnostics at $285 with a one hour minimum, and detail at $95. Those figures are printed on this site rather than revealed after teardown. Paint supplies run $55 per paint hour and body supplies $5 per body hour, sales tax applies to parts and materials but not labor, and parts markup is 100 percent at or under $100 and 35 percent above. One building holds every trade the job needs

Structural pulling, fiberglass lamination, refinish, twelve volt and one hundred twenty volt systems, plumbing, appliances, cabinetry and upholstery all happen inside the same 35,000 square feet. Teardown is planned, not discovered

On a laminated body the visible damage is a symptom. Water travels, impacts telegraph through framing, and a bumper strike three feet off center can crack a floor outrigger. Estimating here assumes a supplement will be needed and writes teardown into the plan so the discovery happens early, in front of a camera, while the adjuster still has an open file. Insurance documentation is treated as part of the repair

Adjusters approve what they can see and justify. Coming off I-15 at Limonite Avenue and picking up SR-91 west is the usual line for anything towed.

05What are your hours?+

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday, 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Closed Sunday. Saturday runs a lighter crew and is best used for drop offs, pickups, estimate appointments, and progress walkthroughs rather than heavy production. Deliveries by tow operators have to arrive inside those windows, since intake requires a signature and a documented condition walkaround before a unit can be accepted onto the yard.

06Do you handle insurance claims?+

Claims are written, submitted, and negotiated here. That covers the original estimate, teardown documentation, supplements for hidden damage, and meeting the adjuster for reinspection when a carrier asks for one. You choose the shop, not the insurer. Your deductible is collected at pickup. If a carrier is named anywhere on this site, it means claims have been handled through that company, not that the shop is affiliated with or endorsed by it.

07How long will my vehicle be in the shop?+

It depends on the tier. Minor work finishes in one to two days. Short jobs run three to eight days. Standard collision repair takes two to four weeks. Structural work and full repaints run four to ten weeks. Restorations and heavy commercial builds run ten weeks and up. Parts availability is the dominant variable, not shop capacity, which is why parts are ordered and confirmed before a drop off date is set whenever the damage allows it.

08What kinds of work do you not take on?+

Engine rebuilds, transmission rebuilds, and drivetrain internal work fall outside our scope, as do DOT inspections and emission testing. Those belong to shops equipped for them. Anything longer than roughly forty five feet, or a tractor trailer combination, does not fit the bays. Nearly everything else in the recreational and light to medium commercial world is in scope. 09Do you come to me?+

No. All work is in shop. There is no truck that travels to owners, no yard call, and no field repair. That is a deliberate choice rather than a limitation: paint requires booth conditions and controlled cure, structural repair requires fixed anchoring and measuring equipment, and leak verification requires a calibrated spray setup. None of that exists in a driveway. Units that cannot be driven arrive by tow, coordinated in advance by email.

10What do I need to bring when I drop off?+

Registration, insurance details with a claim number if one is open, and keys for every lock on the unit including compartments. Bring scene photographs if the damage came from a collision. Take out valuables, medications, and anything perishable before you arrive. Plan a ride home, because there is no loaner fleet and the unit stays once it is signed in. Morning arrivals are easiest, particularly if you are towing a long trailer.
